Winter Warmers: Local Mushrooms, Imported Truffles, Risotto + Braised Short Ribs with Kaylee Doyle of McGuire’s Mushrooms

Loosen those belt loops because this class is sure to fill you with so much joy, you’re going to need a little extra breathing room.  We’ll be joined by Kaylee Doyle, partner of McGuire’s Mushrooms located right here on the South Shore in Hingham.  Kaylee along with her partner Kevin locally grow, harvest and forage our favorite fungi in addition to importing truffles from Italy and France, and hard to find wilds from the west coast.  Our favorite humans to future build with, we’re so thrilled we finally found a home for this dinner.  We’ll host this dinner in less of a hands on cooking class and more of a Chefs Table style demonstration - We’ll start with a winter citrus salad, and truffle ladened cheese.  While Elle hovers over a cauldron of risotto to perfectly pair with braised short ribs (we’ll give you all the tricks to make those at home, too!) and just that day harvested McGuire’s Mushrooms, you’ll slurp up a tasting of freshly made parpadelle pasta snowcapped with parmesan cheese and fresh truffles from Europe.  We’ll wash down the evening with Natural Northern Italian Wines and end cap the evening with a sweet treat.
